Custom furniture refinishing orders are great because people bring their beautiful antique finds to me and I never know what will walk through the door. This was my first time refinishing a Hollywood type antique dresser and it was fun stuff. Here she is before her glamorous makeover. The outer finish was peeling and cracking. The customers wanted something that looked similar to Eleanor, my workhorse desk so I painted her with CeCe Caldwell Simply White, heavily distressed her and applied clear wax.I especially love the scrolls (you know I’m obsessed with scrolls)! Coming up next is a matching California King size headboard!

Today I'm featuring a thrift store chest of drawers that my sister-in-law and I found. I thought I'd have to paint the whole thing because of damage to the veneer. But alas, while sanding some goop off of the top, I realized that the veneer underneath was perfectly fine and sanded the whole thing. I decided to stain the top in Cappuccino Stain Oil, the perfect rich brown.
All of the furniture pieces with the exception of the industrial shelving unit are used pieces that I've re-homed and painted with Fusion Mineral Paint.
