Believe it or not, this is my second 70s era coffee table that I’ve refinished. You can see the first cream colored coffee table here. The cream colored table was a bit different with more scrolls but they are basically the same. Here is a before picture of this table. In the words of Gordon Ramsay, “wow.”
First things first, I had to take off these fuzzy wuzzies, the likes of which have indeed been seen by some of my furniture refinishing friends on Instagram (@TayLovesNate).The customer wanted a design I haven’t done before but was excited to try out, Vermont Slate all over with an accent in Dover White.Umm, yes. I will likely be doing this again. The white brings out the gorgeous scroll work. This old yet sturdy old piece of furniture will have a fun new life.

Today I'm featuring a thrift store chest of drawers that my sister-in-law and I found. I thought I'd have to paint the whole thing because of damage to the veneer. But alas, while sanding some goop off of the top, I realized that the veneer underneath was perfectly fine and sanded the whole thing. I decided to stain the top in Cappuccino Stain Oil, the perfect rich brown.
All of the furniture pieces with the exception of the industrial shelving unit are used pieces that I've re-homed and painted with Fusion Mineral Paint.
