Raw Silk Dresser and Nightstand Makeover

I recently got to try out one of the most popular new Fusion Mineral Paint colors, Raw Silk.  Raw Silk is a warm old white with barely a hint of yellow and just a touch of grey. It is the color of newly formed silk - the perfect off white.

My mother-in-law found me a dresser and a nightstand that needed some love.I decided to paint them Raw Silk so they could match and possibly sell as a set.  I applied Ultra Grip all over and then Concealer Color Blocker so I'd have to do fewer coats of paint.  Check out the video below of the furniture in progress.

I really like how they turned out!

This may be my new favorite off white.  For reference, my stairwell and trim is pure white so you can see this is an off-white.  The mirror was pretty but pretty bland until I painted the frame in Champness.

Just a little bit of paint made a big difference.

This mirror makeover only took 2/3 of a Tester size of Champness paint ($3.99)!  I just taped off the mirror and painted the wood.

Oh, and here is the cute little nightstand.

I love this color! This may become my go to off white!  Check out this collection of all Fusion White and Off-White colors.

Staining and Painting an Antique Chest of Drawers in Lichen Mix

Today I'm featuring a thrift store chest of drawers that my sister-in-law and I found.  I thought I'd have to paint the whole thing because of damage to the veneer. But alas, while sanding some goop off of the top, I realized that the veneer underneath was perfectly fine and sanded the whole thing.  I decided to stain the top in Cappuccino Stain Oil, the perfect rich brown.

I recently freshen up my farmhouse style dining room table in Fusion Mineral Paint's Picket Fence and did a custom mix of Lichen and Picket Fence on my Buffet.

All of the furniture pieces with the exception of the industrial shelving unit are used pieces that I've re-homed and painted with Fusion Mineral Paint.

Brick Fireplace Makeover in White
Brick Fireplace Makeover in White

I just repainted our brick fireplace using Fusion Mineral Paint. I still need to do a few more coats of black paint on the 90's gold but I'm loving it so far! First I dry brushed on a coat of Lamp White but it looked too cool in tone so I dry brushed on my go-to off white, Champlain on about half of the bricks to warm it up.
