Hemp Oil a natural food safe oil finish containing no solvents. It provides a protective, water-resistant surface. You can use Hemp Oil on milk painted or other painted surfaces for protection. You can also use Hemp Oil on bare wood to bring out the natural colors and patina for a beautiful authentic finish. I used Hemp Oil on this antique dresser for both the wood top and as a finish over the paint. It penetrates to protect from the inside out. It does not leave a surface film that will chip or scratch.
• Food safe • No chemicals • No VOC’s • Breathable • Biodegradeable • 100% natural hemp seed.
How to use:
Surface must be clean and dry. Apply a small amount of oil to surface using a clean cloth. Rub gently until it is absorbed into milk paint or raw wood finish. For additional sheen and protection, add 2-4 coats.
With no solvents, drying time is extended, so allow 2 hours between coats and wipe away excess after 12 hours. Finished piece may take several days to cure.
To maintain, apply a light coat every other year as needed. To remove scratches, lightly sand blemish, then reapply oil. A 250 ml (1/2 pint) bottle covers approximately 25 - 40 square feet. Coverage will vary taking into consideration what the oil is being applied to. For example, a previously oiled surface will require very little oil, where as bare wood will require more.
Soap and water cleanup. Test on an inconspicuous spot prior to using on an entire piece.
